Spickard Woman Injured In Accident

|A Spickard woman was injured Saturday afternoon in Trenton, at the intersection of 28th and Highway 65 when two sport utility vehicles collided.|
Fifty year old Clara Tucker of Spickard was taken to Wright Memorial Hospital, complaining of injuries to her back, neck, legs and hips.
The driver of the second vehicle, seventeen year old Melvin Houghton of Trenton was not reported hurt.
Ms. Tucker was Northbound on Highway 65, with Houghton Eastbound on 28th street. Police indicated the vehicle driven by Houghton entered the intersection, striking the drivers side of the SUV operated by Tucker.
Houghton was reported by police as saying he did stop at the stop sign, and, did not see the approaching vehicle. Damage was listed as extensive to both vehicles.
A citation was issued to Houghton for failure to yield at a stop sign. Houghton was not using a safety device. Ms. Tucker was using a safety device.
