Missouri Department Of Economic Development In Chillicothe

Two representatives from the Missouri Department of Economic Development were in Chillicothe last week as part of a tour regarding a demolition grant application.

The representatives from the Compliance department of Business and Community Services met with Chillicothe officials and with Ann Hamilton, grant writer from Green Hills Regional Planning Commission. The tour involved checking the 41 residences listed by the codes department for possible funding with a demolition grant.

Chillicothe officials were told that they were among eight finalists on an original application list. This marks the third consecutive year that Chillicothe has been among the finalists, but so far, it has not receive any grant money.

Those meeting with the visitors included Codes officers Tammi Venneman and Chuck Greever; Mayor Chuck Haney, Councilman Tom Douglas, City Auditor
Teresa Kelly, and Planning commission employee Ann Hamilton.
