Trenton AA Blue Jays rout Marshall, 8-1

The Trenton Blue Jays AA American Legion baseball team received a dominating pitching performance from Jared Brundage on Wednesday night, in an 8-1 victory over Marshall at Burleigh Grimes Field in Trenton.

Due to umpire availability issues, the scheduled doubleheader was shortened to one nine-inning game between the teams.

Brundage shutout Marshall through the first eight innings, before giving up a run in the top of the ninth. He scattered five hits in the win, while mowing down 15 Marshall batters by strikeout. For the Blue Jays offense, Craig Richardson had a 3 for 4 night, with a home run, double, and four RBI's; Hadley Williams had two hits, including a double; and Kylan Easley had three hits, including two doubles.

The AA Blue Jays are next in action NEXT weekend, participating in the Sedalia wood-bat tournament from Friday, June 28th to Sunday, June 30th. The AAA Blue Jays will host Hannibal this Saturday afternoon, June 22nd, in a 1 o'clock first pitch from Burleigh Grimes Field.
