Tony King Charged With Murder

29 year old Tony King was charged Tuesday with second degree murder for the death of 25 year old Michael Bozarth while both were confined in the Buchanan county jail. Bozarth, of St. Joseph, was found June 11th strangled in the cell the two men shared. Bozarth was serving a 90 day sentence after pleading guilty to third degree assault. Bozarth also was in custody awaiting a jury trial later this year on three counts of statutory sodomy of a child.
King, a Bethany resident when arrested last year, was found guilty in early
May following a jury trial at St. Joseph. King was convicted on charges of first degree murder, arson, and felony child abuse for the January 2012 death of his son. The body of seven year old Jeremiah Lamm was found in the charred remains of a mobile home in Harrison County. Arraignment for Tony King on the latest charge is scheduled tomorrow (Friday) morning at St. Joseph.
