Police Chief Tommy Wright, in a recent post on Facebook from the Trenton Police Department indicated:

"We are looking at starting a Citizens Academy and we wanted to see if there was sufficient interest from the community in attending the classes.

Classes will be once a week for four to six weeks. We are probably looking, if there is sufficient interest, holding the class in late summer or early fall.

The students will learn about the Trenton Police Department, our duties and responsibilities, the criminal justice system as a whole, and we will cover everything from administration to working the streets.

This class will be open to anyone, 18 years and older, who does not have a criminal history for a felony or a crime of moral turpitude"

Citizens may provide their input, as to interest in taking the classes at the Trenton Police Departments Facebook Page.
