Trenton city sales tax receipts for the first two months of this fiscal year are down more than two percent. That's compared to the same period last year.

Income from the one percent city sales tax for general purposes totaled more than 119-thousand dollars. Receipts from the one half percent tax for capital projects total 59-thousand 500 dollars.

Income from the one-half percent tax for parks was nearly 54-thousand dollars in the first two months of the fiscal year. That's money distributed in may and June.

Income from the capital projects tax is greater than the parks revenue primarily because the parks tax cannot be charged on domestic utilities.
