Daviess County Commission Meets In Gallatin

The Daviess County Commission Met, with a full slate of activities to be reviewed.

James Lewis, Bridge Supervisor, met with the commission reporting that they will install a pipe in Sheridan Township if weather permits. Areas damaged by heavy rains will be repaired.

Tanya Lohman, Missouri Department of Transportation, met with the commission discussing signage and contracted repairs to be done on state routes.

Kyle McBroom met with the commission submitting an estimate for kitchen repairs at the nursing home. He was instructed to proceed as soon as directed by the nursing home administrator.

Randy Sims executed a grant agreement for the sheriff’s department with Missouri Statewide Communications Assistance Program II.

The commission discussed the personnel policy, opting to leave it as is. A county employee must work 75 percent of the week to be eligible for a proportional share of benefits.

Tthe commission later inspected roads in Jackson, Sheridan, Liberty and Jefferson Townships.
