GED TESTS AND AEL CLASSES COMING TO AN END

Date 2013/5/28 13:05:52 | Topic: News

Due to funding cuts by the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education, Green Hills Community Action Agency reports its Adult Education and Literacy classes will no longer be available to area residents seeking to obtain their G-E-D.

The Agency will begin the process of closing current class sites with those classes
officially ending Friday, May 31st. As a result, current and future students are left with two options:take classes online or travel to the nearest physical class site. The community action agency says it’s no longer involved at any level with the G-E-D/A-E-L program. Agency officials are instructing individuals seeking information
about GED classes, testing and assessments to contact: Department of Elementary and Secondary
Education (DESE) Adult Education and Literacy program in Jefferson City. (573) 751-1249
