Plans have been announced for a FREE camp for kids and youth scheduled May 24th and 25th in Tait Park at Braymer. Registration starts at 3 o’clock that Friday afternoon.

Activities include kids games, music concert, food, a bonfire, and what promoters are calling Braymer’s biggest “marshmallow fight.” Children are invited to camp out Friday night. They are to take a tent, a sleeping bag and be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Events on May 24th at Braymer include breakfast at 7 o’clock in the morning. Organizers will hold what’s called a mandatory safety meeting at 8:30 that Saturday morning with archery, shooting, and fishing to follow. Lunch is scheduled around 1 o’clock with prizes to be award at the close of the camp.
Spokesman Larry Shoe said events are geared toward youth ages five to 15 but everyone is welcome. Meals and equipment are to be provided at no cost.
It’s the third annual free camp at Braymer sponsored by a mentoring organization called “Kicking Bear” that is described as “showing youth a better way
of life” while providing them a weekend of fun—experiencing new things and meeting new friends. Persons can pre-register for the May 24th and 25th events in Braymer by contacting Larry Shoe at Braymer.
