MACON, MO. -- After 5 years of brain storming and 2 years of construction, Loch Haven had their ribbon cutting ceremony today for their two brand new cottages for long term care and for a brand new activity center for the assisted living center.
The first cottage opened on March 12th and the second is expected to open on June 1st. The two cottages are the first of their kind to open in the state of Missouri and encourage a community lifestyle between the residents and gives a real home feel to long term care. The community of Macon has a facility to really be proud about.

“I would just like to say thank you to the community here in the Macon area. They've been very supportive of the project and allowing us to think outside the box to improve people's lives and to become more home like in our care giving and thank our care givers for the opportunity to share this with us too,” said Byron Freeman Lock Haven’s Nursing Home Administrator

Byron goes on to say that these new cottages shape the future of long term care.
