Sullivan County Man Arrested For Child Porn

|Newtown, Mo. -- A Sullivan County man was arrested for possession of child pornography after the Kirksville Regional Computer Crimes Unit allegedly identified his computer as sharing more than 700 illegal pictures and videos on file-sharing networks.|
The Sullivan County Sheriff’s Office arrested Nicholas Dickinson, 31, on May 2 after executing a search warrant at his residence in Newtown, Mo., in Sullivan County.
Police allegedly found pictures and videos of child pornography on Dickinson’s computer.
The investigation was initiated when the KRCCU identified a computer online in the Newtown area that was believed to be sharing files of child pornography. More than 700 unique files were linked to the computer, making the target the fourth largest in the State of Missouri for this specific network.
Dickinson has also been identified in a prior ongoing federal investigation in California for the same charge.
