Three injured Tuesday in Harrison and DeKalb county accidents

An Iowa man received what the highway patrol called serious injuries yesterday morning when his motorcycle failed to negotiate a curve and traveled off U-S 69 and overturned in northern Harrison county. 71 year old Max Gilmore of Osceola, Iowa was taken by ambulance to the Decatur County Hospital in Leon, Iowa.
The motorcycle was demolished in the accident four miles southwest of Lamoni.
Two teenage girls from Clarksdale received what the highway patrol called minor injuries in a DeKalb county accident last evening. 16 year old Makayla Dunlap and her sister, 13 year old Brooke Dunlap, were taken by private vehicle to Heartland Regional Medical Center in St. Joseph. The patrol said the van driven by
Makayla Dunlap was northbound on Dean Road when she lost control on gravel, over-corrected and ran off the east side where the car struck a concrete bridge abutment before it overturned. Damage to the car was extensive in the accident three miles southeast of Clarksdale.
An accident this morning north of Clarksdale injured a woman from King City. The highway patrol said 55 year old Debra Aborn received minor injuries and was taken by ambulance to Heartland Regional Medical Center in St. Joseph.
The state patrol said she was westbound before dawn on Fairview Road when her pickup traveled off the south side of the road and struck a tree. Damage was moderate to the truck.
