I-35 accident injures Wyoming couple

|An accident caused by a slush-covered Interstate 35 injured a couple from Cheyenne, Wyoming.|
The Highway Patrol said a car driven by 79-year old Donald Lawler was traveling southbound on Thursday night went it traveled off the road and came to a halt, causing it to be struck by a tractor-trailer. That impact pushed the car into the path of another big rig. The location of the accident was three miles south of Pattonsburg.
Lawler was taken to Cameron Regional Medical Center, with injuries described as SERIOUS by the Highway Patrol. His passenger, 79-year old Nancy Lawler, had MODERATE injuries and went to Harrison County Community Hospital in Bethany.
The truck drivers were identified as 31-year old Shane Meyer of Everly, Iowa and 72-year old Arthur Brown of Copperas Cove, Texas. Neither was hurt. The car with the Wyoming couple was demolished. Minor damage was noted to both trucks. All people involved were wearing seat belts.
