North Mercer High School senior Sierra Michaelis was named the 2012-2013 "Miss Show-Me Basketball" award recipient on Sunday, given annually to the top female high school player in the state of Missouri.
Michaelis was honored at an awards banquet in Springfield. Her teams, in four years at Mercer, went 112-5, including a senior year that ended in early March with a third-place finish in Class 1, and a 75-54 season-ending win over Chadwick.

Michaelis has signed with the University of Missouri, where she will continue her basketball career for the next four years under head coach Robin Pingeton.

She leaves Mercer with eye-popping career numbers, amassing 3,710 points (second in state history) and 1,225 rebounds, averaging 31.7 points per game over four seasons with the Lady Cardinals.
