Three people received what the Highway Patrol called minor injuries in an accident one mile east of Altamont in Daviess County on Wednesday afternoon.
The Highway Patrol identified the drivers of the vehicles involved as 68-year old Carolyn Hester of Gallatin and 33-year old Woody Benjamin of Kidder, plus a passenger in Benjamin's vehicle, 40-year old Michael Rumsower of Cameron. Each was taken by ambulance to the Cameron Regional Medical Center.

Both vehicles were eastbound on Highway 6. The Highway Patrol said Benjamin's pickup was attempting a left turn into a private driveway when it was struck from behind. Both the car and pickup were demolished. All three people were wearing seat belts.
