Highway 36 accident injures two

Two Chillicothe residents were hurt when a sport utility vehicle traveled off Highway 36 east of Wheeling and hit a grove of trees, after the driver suffered from a medical condition. The Highway Patrol said that driver, 39-year old Laura White of Chillicothe, received MODERATE injuries.
A passenger, 40-year old Scott White of Chillicothe, had minor injuries. Both were taken to Hedrick Medical Center (Chillicothe) for treatment.

The accident was Tuesday afternoon one mile east of Wheeling on Highway 36. The investigating officer said the westbound SUV went off the right side of the road, hit a grove of trees, and came to rest on its wheels.

The SUV was demolished. The Patrol said neither person was wearing a seat belt.
