A motor vehicle was destroyed by fire on Monday night west of Chillicothe on U.S. Highway 36. The incident was near Route C at Utica.
The Chillicothe Fire Department responded to a mutual aid call with the Utica Department. According to a Chillicothe report, the car belonged to Jimmie Alexander of Breckenridge, who told firefighters that his vehicle (2002 Chevy Tahoe) was experiencing mechanical issues.

A 500 gallon mixture of water and foam was used to extinguish the car fire, which had disrupted traffic on westbound U.S. 36 for awhile.
