Felony arrest and death investigation in report from Livingston county sheriff

|The Livingston County Sheriff's Department has investigated a serious traffic accident, that recently resulted in an arrest, as well as an unattended death investigation due to a car fire.|
A Livingston County arrest warrant was served Monday on a 20 year old Chillicothe man, Chase Montgomery Gilgour, for alleged felony of leaving the scene of an injury traffic accident.
He also faces charges of property damage, and felony Assault 2nd Degree. Sheriff Steve Cox said this stems from an investigation which
began March 29th at the scene of a one vehicle crash on L-I-V Road 233. In that incident, Cox said a person, believed to have been a passenger, was found at the scene, extremely cold, seriously injured and subsequently transported by air ambulance to a Kansas City hospital for treatment. Gilgour was released on bond pending his next Court appearance.
The incident was investigated by the State
Highway Patrol and Livingston County Sheriff’s Office.
Livingston County Sheriff's Department reports an 87-year old man died from a motor vehicle fire on L-I-V Road 387. Sheriff Steve Cox reports investigation shows Willard Alvin Silvey of Hale had been in his car which somehow caught on fire.
His clothing also caught fire but he was able to exit the vehicle although unable to survive the incident. A family member found Silvey and contacted 9-1-1. Cause of the fire remains under investigation.
