Area FFA'ers advance from districts to state

|Results have been released following the second day of career development judging events on the district level for F-F-A students in northwest Missouri schools. We have also compiled a list of local/area teams that advance to further competition at the Missouri FFA convention later this month in Columbia.|
Trenton High School has four teams advancing to state. Both the meats judging and agriculture sales teams finished first at district yesterday; dairy cattle was third; farm management tied for seventh; and floriculture team is an alternate to state.
Ag sales: Shelby Lowrey 1st, Alex Anderson 2nd, Kate Lowrey 4th
Meats: Adam Kirby 2nd, Maggie Steinhoff 4th, Jessica Roy 7th, & Brielly Roy
Dairy Cattle: Becca Tate 5th tie; Shania Anderson 7th; Michael Jaycox & Lakisha Hughs
Farm Management: Malinda Foster 14th, Haley Mathews, Aaron Herring, Geoseph Husong
Floriculture: Elizabeth Leeper 24th, Sheridan Jamvold, Sadie Roy, Jenny Frey
Princeton FFA has six teams headed to state competition. Princeton took first in livestock and dairy cattle; second in meats, horses, and FFA knowledge; third in poultry; and the eighth place nursery-landscape team is an alternate.
Livestock: Taylon Place 1, Samantha DeMoss 2, Braden Donelson 3, Jansen Stark 4th
Dairy Cattle: Rem Byers 1st, Emily Schwenneker 2nd, Kelsey Batson 4th, & Ethan Cast
Meats: Thomas Mallinson 1st, Justin Hamilton, Drew Cox, and Lauren McLain
Horses: Brody Cridlebaugh 2nd, Rylen Purdun 9th, Tessa Schwartzkopf, & Abby McLain
Knowledge: Jacob Schwenneker 3, Madison Enright 6, Darcee Swatzkopf, & Ethan Faulkner
Poultry: Brant Faulkner 5th, Chelsie Jones 6th, Veronica Kelly, Nichole Oswalt
North Mercer has three FFA teams bound for state: livestock was third, poultry fourth, and forestry seventh.
Livestock: Gage Porter 5th, Caleb Wyatt 6th, Colton Hartley & Sierra Michaelis
Poultry: Alex Passmore 7th, Natasha Price 10th, Jeremy Price, Trey Wilson
Forestry: Anthony McFee 14th, Wesley Bickel, Zach Campbell, & Joe Lund
Grundy R-5 qualifies two teams for state. The knowledge team was fifth and floriculture placed ninth.
Knowledge: Haley Johnson 1st, Brady Huffman 15th tie, Mason Radcliff, & Alex Webb
Floriculture: Mckenna Owens 18th, Emily Torrey, Sam McLain, & Shelby Bummer
Jamesport Tri-County qualifies two teams for state: fourth in knowledge and seventh in poultry.
Knowledge: Abby Gingerich 3rd, Colton Ellis 18th tie, and two others
Poultry: Tyler Lane 17th, Nate Sutton 18th, and Samantha Hutchinson
Gilman City FFA sends three teams to state: farm management was fourth while knowledge and soils judging teams ranked seventh.
Farm Management: Ryan Burrows 2nd, Mitch Ragan 9th, Hannah Snuffer, & Haley Francis
Knowledge: Joslyn Newton 13th tie, Hayley Burnett, Morgan Hightree, Saige Holmes
Soils: Morgan Reed 15th, Morgan Mulnix 16th, Zach Cox, & Kenny Neff
Gallatin FFA qualifies five teams for state including two that won first at the district level: poultry and agronomy. Others ranked second in ag mechanics and livestock and another was seventh in entomology.
Poultry: Aubrey Burns 1st; Kase Critten 8th tie, McKenzie Taylor 8th tie, & Cristy Hall
Agronomy: Dane Brammer 2nd, Logan Jeffers 4th, Andrew Michael 6th, & Klark Critten
Ag Mechanics: Garrett McNeely 2nd, Blake Cornett 6th, Robert Carder & Tyler Williamson
Livestock: Daniel Pettit 9th, Kourtney Bird 11th, Kelsey Bird 12th, & Kaley Cox
Entomology:Melinda Hess 3rd, Mary King, Jessica Water, & Chris Cameron
Chillicothe, with a first place team in FFA knowledge and a fifth ranked team in dairy cattle has both of those entries going to state.
