Brookfield man indicted on 'child porn' charges

The United States Attorney for the Western District of Missouri has announced that a Brookfield man was indicted by a federal grand jury for attempting to produce child pornography. Forty-six year old Edward Allen Stieber, formerly of Trenton, was charged in a two-count indictment returned by the federal grand jury in Kansas City.
The indictment alleges that Stieber attempted to use a minor, identified as "Jane Doe", to produce child porn on separate occasions between January 2009 and January 2011. Charges contained in the indictment are accusations, and not evidence of guilt. Evidence supporting the charges must be presented to a federal grand jury, whose duty it is to determine guilt or innocence.

This case was investigated by the WYOMING Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force and the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement's (ICE) Homeland Security Investigations (HSI).
