
Contracts awarded for area road construction projects

| Contracts for four projects in Northwest Missouri were awarded recently by the Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission. The projects, scheduled for the 2013 construction season, bring more than 7.7 million dollars' worth of improvements to our area.
--- Route 6, from the Route 31 north intersection in Dekalb County, to U.S. Hwy 69, near Altamont in Daviess County
Type of Work: Thin lift overlay and add paved shoulders Awarded to APAC - Missouri, Inc. Amount: $3,116,755.00 Length of Project: approximately 23.5 miles
--- Interstate 35, Daviess County, from south of the intersection with U.S. Hwy 69 to Route C, near Pattonsburg
Type of Work: rehabilitate and repair existing concrete lanes Awarded to Interstate Improvement, Inc. Amount: $1,856,632.78 Length of project: approximately nine miles
--- Route V, Livingston County, from the intersection of Broadway & Polk to Missouri Street, in Chillicothe
Type of Work: grading, repaving, drainage and bridge replacement Awarded to APAC - Missouri, Inc. Amount: $1,453,411.67 Length of Project: approximately 0.3 miles
--- Route 129, Linn County, from Route 11 to U.S. Hwy 36 and Route N, from Route V in Mercer County to Route B in Harrison County
Type of Work: Thin Lift Overlay Awarded to: APAC - Missouri, Inc. Amount: $1,340,938.07 Length of Project: approximately 19 miles
