| Livingston County Sheriff Steve Cox says the Water Patrol division of the Missouri Highway Patrol, on Wednesday, assisted the Sheriff's Department, in river searches for stolen property. Sheriff Cox says some of the areas are more than six feet deep and his office 'does not have the proper equipment for such a search'. Sheriff Cox said results of the search are not being released at this time. He said the investigation is 'intense' and 'continuing'. The sheriff said he believes the courts would be more impressed if those responsible were to come forward without being prompted by a law enforcement officer. The river searches took place following tips received by the Livingston County Sheriff's Department.
