Government funding, to help pay utility bills, runs out

Green Hills Community Action Agency today reported funding for their Emergency Crisis Intervention winter program has been completely exhausted.
Households seeking emergency assistance with utility payments, according to an agency spokesman, will be placed on a waiting list should more government funding be made available, but should not depend on the program to pay any past-due bills.

First time applicants for the Winter Emergency Assistance program may still be eligible for ONE-time assistance with a utility payment.

Persons who have not yet filled out an application for such assistance can still do so. Questions regarding this program should be directed to a toll-free phone number at the Green Hills Community Action Agency in Trenton (855-290-8544 option #1).
