Two-vehicle accident near Laclede injures three

Three people were hurt when, according to the Highway Patrol, a sport utility vehicle hit the rear of a pickup truck on Highway 36 in Linn County. The driver of the SUV, 57-year old William Sackrey of Brookfield, was taken by private vehicle to Pershing Memorial Hospital (in Brookfield) with what were described as minor injuries.
Two passengers in the pickup, 42-year old Tammy Breeden and 16-year old Dalton Breeden, both of Laclede, were taken by ambulance to Pershing Memorial. The Patrol said they had minor injuries. The driver of the pickup, 40-year old James Breeden of Laclede, escaped injury.

The accident was late Saturday morning west of Laclede on Highway 36. Both vehicles were westbound, when the SUV hit the rear of the pickup. Damage was extensive to the SUV and moderate to the pickup truck. The Patrol said none of the people involved in the Saturday accident were wearing seat belts.
