Mooresville teens injured in Livingston County accident

Two Mooresville girls were hurt when a sport utility vehicle overturned off a road north of Ludlow on Thursday afternoon. The driver, 16-year old Brittany Twyman, and a passenger, 14-year old Shauna Hughes, were taken by private vehicle to Liberty Urgent Care in Liberty. The Highway Patrol said each person had MODERATE injuries.
The accident was three miles north of Ludlow on Livingston County Route D. The Patrol said the SUV went out of control on the ice-covered road, traveled across the center line, then back to the right and off the right side of the road and overturned, coming to rest on its wheels. The vehicle was demolished. Both persons were wearing seat belts.
