| The Small Business Administration says low interest federal disaster loans are available in Carroll and surrounding counties. That is because of reduced revenues caused by drought on November 15th of last year through January 21st of this year. The eligibility covers both economic impacts on businesses dependent on farmers, and businesses directly affected by the disaster. Businesses primarily engaged in farming or ranching area are not eligible for SBA disaster assistance.
The deadline to apply for the loans is September 13th of this year. More information is available from the Small Business Administration. Seven counties are included in this region, those being Caldwell, Livingston, and Chariton, plus Carroll.
