Trenton grinds out a two-point win over Maysville, goes 2-0 at Holiday Hoops

The Trenton boy's basketball team rallied from a 30-19 halftime deficit, holding the Maysville Wolverines to only 13 second half points and finding just enough offense of its own to claim a 45-43 victory at NCMC Holiday Hoops, heard Saturday night on KTTN FM 92.3 and
Trenton's offense struggled throughout the game, with Maysville outscoring the Bulldogs 12-8 in the first quarter and 18-11 in the second. However, the Bulldogs rallied in the third, outscoring the Wolverines 12-3, with Seth Acton hitting a pair of crucial jump shots, and Austin Taul putting in five of his seven points during the frame.

With work yet to be done to complete the comeback, the Bulldogs outscored Maysville 12-8 in the fourth quarter. Chris Kurtz had 10 points to lead Trenton, with Wilson Utley adding eight points, Austin Taul seven, and Chase Tolson and Colby Larson each with six. Maysville was led by 20 points from Brad Munson and 13 points from Dakota Peterson.

The victory moves Trenton's boys to 7-4 on the season, with a home date with Brookfield coming up on Thursday night (January 3rd) at 7:30, with coverage on KTTN FM 92.3 and
