Weekend accident injures Milan brothers

Two Milan brothers were hurt north of Milan when, according to the Highway Patrol, a sport utility vehicle was hit in the rear by by a pickup truck. The driver of the pickup, 17-year old Marcus Harrison, and a passenger, 14-year old Michael Harrison, were taken to Sullivan County Memorial Hospital. The Patrol said they had minor injuries.
The accident was Saturday afternoon two miles north of Milan on Highway 5. Both vehicles were northbound. The Patrol said the SUV was stopped to make a left turn when it was hit from behind by the pickup. The driver of the SUV, 32-year old Wesley Maulsby of Milan, was not reported hurt.

Damage was listed as moderate to the pickup truck and minor to the SUV. The Patrol said none of the three people involved in Saturday's accident were wearing seat belts.
