A former Trenton resident has announced additional drop off locations for a local drive to collect gently used coats. Erin McDonald said this is the third year for the coat drive in memory of her son, Kole Hoffman.

Coats of any size for men, women, or toddlers can be left at the office of Doctor John Holcomb or with the Trenton Police Department. The deadline to do is this Friday.

The effort is held in conjunction with social services at Trenton which sponsors the Christmas for Families Program. Donations of coats, gloves, scarves, and hats will be accepted until Friday at the Family Support Division office, 29-26 Oklahoma Avenue in Trenton.

On Saturday, December 15th, all of the coats, gloves, scarves, and hats will be available to local families who need them. The location Saturday will be The Barn, at 10-11 Main street in downtown Trenton. The items will be available free of charge. The pickup hours are from 10 o'clock to 4 o'clock this coming Saturday. Santa is scheduled to be there for the children and free hot chocolate is to be served.
