Trenton wrestlers post triangular victory at Albany

The Trenton High School wrestling team, on Thursday night, beat Southwest Livingston and Albany for its first triangular 'victory' of the 2012-2013 season. The Bulldogs scored 66 points in their win over the Ludlow team, and beat the host Warriors 40-32.
For Trenton, in action against Southwest Livingston, winning by forfeit were Carlos Gonzalez (103), Colby Weaver (120), Travis Leeper (145), Mason Mounce (160), and Terrin Ellis (285).

On the mat, Wynne DeVorss won (126) by pin over Lake Crowe at 3:12, Dalton Ellis (132) pinned Ryan Bell at 1:50, Caleb Feagins (138) pinned Alec Trent at 1:06, Alex Lovell (152) pinned Levi Ireland at 1:31, Thomas Mack (170) pinned Collin Donoho at 3:06, and Jacob Spillman (182) pinned Jordan Konopasek at 1:20.

Both schools had open weights at 106 pounds and 220 pounds. Southwest's only points came at 195 pounds, where Trenton had an open weight opposite Southwest's Ethan Crowe.

Against Albany, Trenton winners by fall were Carlos Gonzalez, Caleb Feagins, Travis Leeper, Mason Mounce, and Jacob Spillman. Alex Lovell won by forfeit. Wynne Devorss won by 13-4 major decision.

Albany winners were, by fall, Logan Coleman and Kolby Carlock, by 19-3 technical fall, Kohl Bounds, and 6-3 major decision Adam Putnam. Albany's Chad Ross and Connor Brown won by forfeits.

Trenton claimed two JV wins over Albany, with Trey Shields pinning Cody Adair at 152 pounds in 1:16, while Novie Rorebeck pinned Montana Lykins at 138 pounds in 3:38.

Trenton's next wresting action is Thursday, December 13th, hosting Lathrop and Maysville at 6 o'clock.
