A fund raiser is scheduled in December to help finance an upcoming project at the North 65 Center in Trenton. In observance of the Christmas season, the North 65 Center sponsors a project called “light a candle this holiday season".
In exchange for a donation to the North 65 center, persons will be able To purchase a candle card that will be placed on a Christmas tree at the Senior center. The card can be purchased in honor, or in memory, of an individual or family.

A form lists suggested donations at 25, 50 or 100 dollars. Persons, however, can make a donation in any amount. Money from the fundraiser will be used to help with activities provided at the center, including home delivery and dine-in meal costs, center equipment and building repair and maintenance. Administrator Connie Reed stated a future project includes plans to update lighting in the building. Forms are available at the North 65 Center, 29-01 Hoover Drive, during business hours, Monday through Friday.

For more information, persons can call the center at 359-3058.
