
2012 TRC champion Milan Wildcats dominate postseason honors

| The PAR Broadcast Group now has the COMPLETE list of honorees in the Tri-Rivers Conference for the 2012 football season. A partial list was supplied, and read on the air yesterday. As expected, the two-time defending Tri-Rivers champion Milan Wildcats are strongly represented on the first-and-second teams, after a 10-1 season that included a 5-0 record in the conference. Milan senior Mason Thompson has been named Tri-Rivers PLAYER OF THE YEAR, with coach John Dabney named the conference COACH OF THE YEAR.
First team selections include Milan running backs Mason Thompson and Aaron Richardson, offensive linemen Zack Doak and Nathen McCabe, defensive tackle Mason Thompson, defensive end Bodie Eaglen, linebackers Aaron Richardson and Kevin DeRyke, defensive back Caleb May, kicker Raul Palacios, and punter Brett Sinclair.
The other first-teamers, from across the TRC, are from Knox County, quarterback Donovan Edwards, offensive lineman Nathan Miller, linebacker Jared Barnard, defensive back Royce Poore, and return specialist Donovan Edwards; from Schuyler County, offensive linemen Garrett Wilson and Christian Henderson, wide receiver Brandon Wuebker, defensive end Garrett Wilson, and defensive backs Dalton Shively and Zach Schmitter. A first-team selection from Putnam County is tight end Riley Wood. From Scotland County, wide receiver Chris Johnson, defensive tackle Monte Sally, and linebacker Jed Troutman are all-conference first team. No North Shelby Raiders made the first-team.
