The Share the Harvest program in Grundy County has funds available to process 50 deer donated for the Community Food Pantry. Hunters wishing to participate should take deer to J&M Process, in rural Jamesport at 618 Southwest 65th Street.
Share the Harvest is administered and financially supported by the Conservation Federation and various sponsors from across Missouri.

Grundy County Community Food Pantry President Dennis Browning said protein in the form of meat is always in "short supply" at the pantry. He said the number of deer donated over the past several years has fallen short of the goal and the funding limit.
