Ag producers in Missouri that are interested in developing or expanding Value Added Ag Operations can apply for grant funding from the Missouri Department of Agriculture.

Applications will be accepted for funding to assist farmers with business planning expenses for projects that develop, process or market agricultural goods.
Earlier this year, the Department of Ag and the Missouri Small Business Development Authority awarded more than $370,000 in grants to producers and agribusinesses who are exploring and expanding Value Added operations.
One of the grant recipients is Harvey's Pecans of Brunswick. They received $38,500 to conduct a feasibility study, business plan and marketing analysis on Missouri native northern pecans.
Grants are available for up to $200,000, with a portion of the grant funding available at $25,000 or less.
If you would like to apply for a Value Added Agriculture Grant, contact the Department of Ag and the Missouri Small Business Development Authority at mda.mo.gov or call (573) 751-2129.
