In a separate accident on Tuesday some three miles north of Cameron, a Cameron truck driver received minor injuries in a single vehicle accident. The Highway Patrol said 57 year old David Haushcen was taken to Cameron Regional Medical Center.
He was southbound when his tractor-trailer went off the left side of Interstate 35, through the median, across northbound lanes, and ran off the east side of I-35 where it went down an embankment, across a field, and came to rest in a pond. The big rig was demolished. Hauschen was wearing a safety device.
