Trenton volleyball teams sweep away Plattsburg

The Trenton High School volleyball team continued its improved play of late, sweeping the Plattsburg Lady Tigers on Monday night, 25-21, 25-14 at Plattsburg High School.
THS was led in victory by the play of Katie Ireland, who had eight kills and a pair of blocks, while Kelsey Scott and Lakisha Hughs each had five kills, with Bekah Wiggins picking up three kills.

The play of senior Kate Ewald proved crucial for Trenton, as she had six digs to go with 14 assists, while Courtney Weyer and Kate Ewald each had three ace serves, and Gwen Delp had an excellent "passing game", according to Head Coach Brett Ewald.

The Trenton JV won at Plattsburg by scores of 25-5, 25-15. Trenton is at home tonight (Tuesday night), hosting the Lady 'Dawgs of East Buchanan High School at the Trenton High School gymnasium.

The Trenton Middle School volleyball teams won matches on Monday night at home against Cameron. The B team won both sets 25-18, 25-20, while the A team also took both sets 25-20, 25-23. Both teams have 4-0 records for the season, going into home matches against Kirksville at 5:00 on Tuesday, October 2nd.
