A Gallatin resident was injured on Saturday night when the car he was driving went off Highway 13 north of Hamilton and overturned several times, throwing him from the vehicle. Nineteen year old Lance Rodkey was taken to Cameron Regional Medical Center, with injuries that the Highway Patrol described as SERIOUS.
The accident was six miles north of Hamilton on Highway 13. The Patrol said Rodkey lost control of his northbound car while attempting to pass another vehicle. The Rodkey car slid off the left side of the road, hit the ground, went airborne, and overturned several times.

The car came to rest leaning against a tree, with the front of the vehicle on the ground. The vehicle was demolished. The Patrol said Rodkey was not wearing a seat belt.
