
Cameron plane crash kills Lawson man

| The name has been released regarding the victim in the crash last evening of a small plane at Cameron Memorial Airport. According to a news release late this morning, Cameron Police report 52-year old David King of Lawson was pronounced dead at the scene.
He was the pilot and only person on board when the crash occurred at 6:53 Sunday evening at the south end of the runway at the Cameron Airport.
That airport was then closed to all air and vehicle traffic while an investigation is conducted. Cameron Police, Fire, and Ambulance along with Clinton County Sheriff's Department and the Missouri State Highway Patrol responded to the scene. The Federal Aviation Administration and National Transportation Safety Board have been contacted to investigate.
