Trenton JV football team rolls past Lexington

|While the Trenton varsity fell by seven points to Lexington last week, the Bulldog JV flexed its muscles against the Minutemen on Tuesday night, rolling to a 42-6 victory.|
Trenton's first half touchdowns came at the 5:12 mark of the first quarter on a 1 yard run by Novie Rorebeck (with a two point run by Dalton Ellis), an Ellis pass of 26 yards to Charlie Hoffman at the 6:51 mark of the second quarter (with an unsuccessful PAT), an Ellis run of 49 yards (with an unsuccessful PAT) with 4:12 to go in the first half, and a punt return of 37 yards by Hoffman with 2:15 to go in the half. A third unsuccessful PAT left the Bulldogs up 26-0 at halftime.
Lexington's only points came on a one yard dive by quarterback Blake Johnson in the third quarter, but Trenton dominated again from there, with Mason Mounce scoring on an 80 yard run (and two point conversion) and an Ellis run of 18 yards in the fourth quarter (and a two point conversion run).
Trenton finished the win, and the game, with running clock, stopping a last minute Lexington drive in the process.
The Trenton freshman football team shutout Albany 27-0 on Tuesday night. Leeper had two touchdowns, one by run and one by punt return for Trenton, while McCarter had a touchdown run and Neff a touchdown run. Lamp hit an extra point for THS, while the Bulldogs went 1 for 3 on two-point conversion attempts.
The Trenton Middle School Bulldogs were shutout by Carrollton. Final score was 12-0 in favor of the Trojans. Carrollton's scores came on a 55 yard run with 26 seconds left in the first half and a 21 yard fumble recovery return with 2:15 left in the game. Both conversion attempts failed for the Trojans.
