|Three people were taken to Wright Memorial Hospital while a fourth declined transportation following an accident yesterday afternoon at 9th and Laclede. Each of the four has a Trenton address.|
Trenton Police said one vehicle pulled from Laclede onto 9th street in front of an oncoming vehicle. The driver of a van, 17 year old Christian Yuille said he halted for the stop sign on Laclede; looked both directions and said he did not see anyone coming.
The driver of a car, 29 year old Marc Gardner, said that the van pulled out in front of him. The resulting collision left both vehicles with extensive damage. Taken to Wright Memorial Hospital for the treatment of “evident” injuries were Christian Yuille and his passenger, 18 year old Shawn Saldivar; as well as a passenger with Gardner: 28 year old Rebecca McCree.
The police report noted Gardner declined transportation to the hospital for his injuries.
Police issued two citations: one to Yuille accusing failure to yield at a stop intersection; and one to Gardner accusing failure to maintain financial responsibility for his motor vehicle.
