The Chillicothe Area Arts Council presents its first "cultural" luncheon on the season with a Scottish-themed event on Thursday, September 6th. It is in celebration of the Highland Games, held in the country of Scotland. Reader Judith Shoot, Flutist Nancy Mitchell, and Bagpiper Roger Heard will be featured as part of the program.
Information will include the history of the bagpipe and the bagpiper's uniform. The Chillicothe Arts Council describes Heard as "humorous" and "an accomplished piper", in addition to his duties as a Highway Patrolman.

The luncheon is September 6th from 12 noon until 12:55 at the Livingston County Library, located at 450 Locust Street in Chillicothe.

The program will follow an optional box lunch costing $5.00. Reservations for the lunch are due by September 4th at 11 o'clock in the morning. They can be made by the Chillicothe Area Arts Council.

The program is open to the general public. It is not necessary to order a box lunch in order to attend the program.
