Weekend accidents injure Trenton and Richmond residents

|A Trenton man, operating a motorcycle, was injured early Sunday evening when he was thrown off the machine while traveling in Spickard. Other weekend accidents included a two vehicle injury accident on Saturday in Trenton and a single vehicle wreck on Saturday evening east of Princeton. |
The Highway Patrol said 32 year old Daniel Betz of Trenton was SERIOUSLY injured and taken by ambulance to Wright Memorial Hospital before flown by medical helicopter to St. Luke's Hospital in Kansas City.
Betz was westbound when his motorcycle skidded across the center line of Route C, overturned, and ejected the driver. Damage to the motorcycle was minor. The patrol said Betz was not wearing a safety device.
A Saturday afternoon accident at 13th Court and Harris avenue injured two Trenton women: 20 Mercedes Barron and 23 year old Amber McKinney. Both were taken to Wright Memorial Hospital.
They were southbound on Harris when a van
driven by 17 year old Nathan Creason of Eldon pulled out from a stop intersection on 13th Court. He was not hurt but recieved a citation
accusing failure to yield at a stop intersection.
A mother and daughter from Richmond were injured in a Saturday evening accident one mile east of Princeton. Taken to Wright Memorial Hospital in Trenton were 46 year old Lisa Todd and 15 year old Grace Todd from Richmond.
The State Patrol said their westbound car went off Highway 136, down an embankment, airborne over a driveway and landed on its wheels in a ditch and was demolished.
