A Gallatin man, operating an A-T-V, was involved in a private property accident on Thursday night. The highway patrol described injuries as SERIOUS for 71 year old William Boyd. He was flown by medical helicopter to North Kansas City Hospital.
The patrol investigator said Boyd apparently suffered a medical condition as his A-T-V traveled through a barb wire fence, turned around, and continued through a fence in the opposite direction.

The A-T-V traveled counter clockwise in a circle several times with Boyd partially ejected. The all terrain vehicle struck a wooden fence and came to a stop against the fence.

The location was on private property just east of Route K; four miles east of Jameson. Damage to the A-T-V was listed as minor.
