Lakeview Restaurant hosts political speaking event

|Twenty candidates for public office gave remarks on Monday night at a forum sponsored by the Grundy County Farm Bureau. An estimated 100 people gathered at Lakeview Restaurant in Trenton for the one hour, meet the candidate event.|
Max Oyler, the legislative chairman for Grundy county Farm Bureau, was the emcee. The primary election is August 7th.
Most of the local candidates talked about themselves and explained reasons why they are seeking a particular office. The list includes sheriff, collector-treasurer, assessor, public administrator, coroner, first and second district county commissioner.
Also speaking were each of the FOUR candidates for 7th district state representative serving Grundy, Livingston, and much of Linn County. Each person responded to a question on how they can make a difference among the 163 members in the Missouri House.
