An Albany woman was hurt when, according to the Highway Patrol, she fell asleep and the car she was driving went off Highway 31 in DeKalb County. Sixty-six year old Ann Deville of Albany was taken to Heartland Regional Medical Center in St. Joseph, with what the Patrol called MODERATE injuries.
The accident was early Saturday morning about ten miles west of Maysville. The Patrol said the southbound car went off the right side of Highway 31, vaulted a driveway, hit a water meter, fence, and a ditch, and returned to the road. The driver brought the car to a controlled stop on the shoulder of 31. The vehicle was demolished. Ann Deville was wearing a seat belt.
