I-35 accident injures two from Blue Springs

Two Blue Springs residents were injured when a car hit a deer on Interstate 35 in Daviess County on Wednesday night.
The driver, 23 year old Abigail Thompson, and passenger, four-year old Macy Berendes, both of Blue Springs, were taken to Cameron Regional Medical Center, both with "minor" injuries (according to the Patrol report).

The incident was about seven miles north of the Winston exit on southbound I-35. After hitting the deer, the car came to a controlled stop on the shoulder of the road. The vehicle sustained moderate damage. Both people were wearing seat belts.
