Out of concern for public safety and properties, the city of Trenton and Grundy County have enacted burn bans effective at 12 noon Tuesday July 3rd and extending until further notice is given (or when a significant amount of rain has been received).
The burn ban ALSO PROHIBITS the private use of fireworks on July 4th. An exception will be the community funded public fireworks display tonight at the fairgrounds, west of the Rock Barn.

The fireworks display will begin when its dark enough. Trenton Fire Department will have trucks standing by in case of fire. The public is invited to view the public fireworks display from the parking lot of C.F. Russell Stadium as well as from across Oklahoma Avenue in the parking lot of Trenton Cinema. The cinema will have only
the 4:00 movies this afternoon.

Trenton Family Aquatics Center will have a dollar swim for all persons from 1 to 4 o'clock this afternoon. Season passes also will be honored.
