Cainsville to "Celebrate the 4th" this weekend

The city of Cainsville plans to hold its "Fourth of July" celebration THIS weekend. Friday night's activities include a beer garden with a DJ providing the music, with the cook shack opened tonight (Friday night) and throughout the weekend.
Additional events are planned for Saturday and Sunday at the Cainsville celebration. Fourth of July Cainsville t-shirts will be for sale at City Hall.

Some of Saturday's events include a craft show and flea market, a parade, volleyball, the "Ducky Run" at the Thompson River, with evening music provided by the "Just Family Band" from Osceola, Iowa.

Awards will be presented honoring the Citizen and Business of the Year, the Cainsville American Legion Post will host bingo games, with Saturday night's festivities concluding with fireworks at dusk.

On Sunday, Old Country and Gospel will be played by Gary Elder and Friends, there is a three on three basketball tournament, a contest for babies in swimsuits, and a ATV race involving horseshoes.
