The Highway Patrol said a Gladstone man had a medical issue, which contributed to the car he was driving going off Interstate 35 south of Bethany and hitting two road signs and several trees. Seventy-four year old William Durham was taken to Harrison County Community Hospital in Bethany, with what the Patrol called MODERATE injuries.
The accident was Wednesday morning eight miles south of Bethany. The Patrol said the car was northbound on I-35 when Durham had a "medical condition", and the vehicle went off the right side of the road, hit road signs and trees, and came to rest in a field. The car was extensively damaged. Durham was wearing a seat belt.
