|Access Two Independent Living Center of Gallatin says it is receiving calls from families concerned about obtaining school supplies for the upcoming academic year.|
Access Two, in response, will hold a Daviess County "Back to School Bash" on Thursday, August 2nd from 4 to 7 o'clock at the Access Two building. The school supplies fair is open to all families in Daviess County with elementary age students.
Access Two says it is seeking sponsors for its school supplies program. Supplies will be distributed at the August 2nd Back to School event. If any supplies remain after that activity, they will be given directly to the schools. There are, going into the 2012-2013 school year, five elementary schools in operation across Daviess County.
In addition to providing school supplies, the August 2nd event will provide families with a way to "learn about children's health and safety" and "find out about area resources, parenting information, and activities for children".
Contributions for the school supplies event may be sent to Access Two Independent Living Center in Gallatin, located at 101 Industrial Parkway. Contributions should be marked to the attention of BACK TO SCHOOL BASH.
